Appointments
Punctuality is deeply admired as it ensures you receive the best possible service and minimizes potential inconvenience for other patrons. We ask you to arrive fifteen to thirty minutes prior to your appointment time. To schedule an appointment, please call us at (773)-843-5256.
Cancellations
If for any reason you cannot make your appointment we kindly ask you to inform us, preferably, 24 hours in advance. To cancel or change an appointment please call us at (773)-843-5256.
Right to Refusal
Tina’s Spa Salon reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason including but not limited to policy infractions, health concerns, and/or the general safety of other patrons and our staff.
Pricing
Tina’s Spa Salon reserves the right to augment or otherwise change prices on treatments, services, and products with or without prior notice. We do this to ensure all patrons receive services based upon our high standards of excellence. If patrons have any inquiries or questions regarding pricing, please call us at (773)-843-5256.
Service to Minors
We are a family oriented salon that welcomes adults and children alike to most of our services. Certain services like hair dyeing, perming, and piercings* will require adolescents and children under the age of 18 to have a parent or legal guardian present during the service or treatment. Moreover, the parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver and present a legal picture identification card upon request.
*Tina’s Spa Salon will not under any circumstance pierce the eyebrow, nose, belly, cartilage, or any other body part that is not an earlobe for anyone under the age of 18.
Medical Disclosure
At Tina’s Spa Salon we respect your privacy and autonomy. However, it is pertinent that patrons inform their cosmetologist of any and all medical, mental, and/or physical conditions that may affect the quality of their treatment, health, or safety. Certain procedures may result in less than favourable outcomes due to contraindication derived from potential adverse reactions to chemicals, tools, or methods utilized in a requested service or treatment. We also ask you to inform your cosmetologist of potential allergies, sensitivities, or pregnancy to help mitigate risk factors.
Walk-Ins
Although appointments are preferred, we accept walk-ins when possible. In an effort of fairness, an appointment may have priority over a walk-in which may result in a longer than average wait time or the suggestion of making an appointment for a later date.
Gratuities
Tipping is not required but greatly appreciated and ultimately left to the discretion of our patrons.
Children in Salon
Safety, especially for the most vulnerable and precious like children, is our top priority. We respectfully ask that parents/guardians keep a close eye on their children during their visit. Please do not allow your children outside of our waiting area.
Personal Effects
For your safety and comfort, your treatment may require the removal of jewelry and/or articles of clothing. We recommend that you leave your valuables at home or in your vehicle as we cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of personal effects. Temporary articles of clothing may be lent upon request depending on the service or treatment.
Cell Phones
The use of cell phones is permitted, however, for the courtesy and peace of other patrons we ask that patrons keep their phones on vibrate/silent and refrain from using their speakers.
Audio and/or Video Recording: Patrons
We recognize the current trend of documenting one’s life via the recording and posting of materials to social media. While in our salon feel free to take a selfie or post a fun video of your time with us. We love when our patrons post their new look online! However, we do ask that any audio and/or video recordings respect the privacy of other patrons and Tina’s Spa Salon et al. If another patron or any member of the Tina’s Spa Salon team asks you not to record them, please respect their wishes. Failure to comply may lead to your dismissal from the property.
Audio and/or Video Recording: Business
Your safety and privacy are our top priorities. As such Tina’s Spa Salon property is closely monitored and recorded at all times via CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television). Our CCTV footage may be shared with local law enforcement officials, among other parties, depending on the situation requiring the sharing of such materials, including but not limited to, potential crime, injury, and/or accusatory remarks. Apart from specific circumstances, our CCTV footage is private and only viewable by authorized personnel at the discretion of Tina’s Spa Salon. By entering Tina’s Spa Salon property at 1848 W. Pershing Rd, Chicago, IL patrons agree to have their audio and/or video recorded and potentially shared with other parties at the sole discretion of Tina’s Spa Salon et al.
Drugs, Alcohol, and Smoking
We are a drug-free and alcohol-free establishment. The use, concealment, or transportation of drugs and/or alcohol is strictly prohibited on Tina’s Spa Salon property. Additionally, Tina’s Spa Salon is a smoke-free environment. This includes the use of vaporizers or electronic cigarettes.
Dress Code*
Patrons and staff are required to be adequately dressed to help mitigate discomfort and risks associated with our services or treatments. Adequacy is defined as some sort of footwear (gym shoes/flip-flops/heels/etc), a top (shirt/blouse/dress/etc), and bottoms (trousers/skirt/leggings/etc). Clothing deemed obscene, offensive, or unsafe may result in the refusal of service at the discretion of Tina’s Spa Salon staff.i
*Patrons receiving pedicure or wax services are temporarily immune, within reason, to this policy for the duration of their treatment. Pedicure patrons will be provided with single-use flip-flops. Waxing services are conducted in a private partitioned area of the salon.
Restroom Use
Tina’s Spa Salon’s restroom facility is designated for patrons utilizing any of our goods or services including, but not limited to, purchasing products or rendering cosmetological services. Men, women, and children are all permitted to use our restrooms provided they adhere to the aforementioned.
Outside Food or Drink
We are flexible and generally Laissez-faire, however we do ask our patrons not to bring outside food or drink if they can help it. If it is a must, we ask our patrons to inform us before their arrival. Certain food or drink may be turned away due to potential strong odour or allergies affecting our other patrons.
Consent, Waiver, and Release Forms
Certain services or requests may require patrons to fill out a consent, waiver, and/or release form before patrons may have services rendered. Among those services include, but are not limited to, hair colouring, bodily perforation (piercings), and waxing. All patrons filling out any of the aforementioned forms must be over the age of eighteen or accompanied by a legal parent or guardian who must display a legal form of picture identification upon request: Identification requests may also occur for patrons eighteen years of age or older at our discretion. Despite representation by a legal parent or guardian, certain services may not be performed on persons under the age of eighteen at the discretion of Tina’s Spa Salon et al. Additionally, we take your privacy and security seriously. Be rest assured your information and data is only accessible by authorized personnel and is kept secured and hidden.
Appointment Deposits and Prepayment
Certain treatments and services totaling an undisclosed monetary value, requiring special orders (for example, specific hair we need to order for extensions), and/or a large timeblock (amount of time necessary to complete service/treatment) may require patrons to provide prepayment or a deposit before services are rendered or scheduled.
Prepayments are 50%-100% of the monetary value of the service inquired. These payments are typically instituted when services are of high monetary value, require a special order, or take up a large timeblock.
Deposits are $5 to $20 depending on the monetary value of the service inquired. These deposits are typically instituted when a patron has a history of cancellations, no-shows, or if our schedule is particularly filled with other appointments.
Deposits and prepayments at the time of scheduling an appointment are implemented via Zelle.
If a deposit or prepayment is not received within 30 minutes of scheduling, the appointment may be canceled with or without notification.
Cancellation over 24 hours in advance: Deposit or prepayment is returned in full to the patron via Zelle.
If a special order takes place, then the patron may lose up to 50% of their deposit or prepayment. Alternatively, the patron may reschedule up to one time at no additional cost or loss of deposit/prepayment assuming the appointment is fulfilled.​​
Cancellation within 24 hours of appointment: 50% of the deposit or prepayment is forfeited and non-refundable.
If a special order takes place, 100% of the deposit or prepayment is forfeited and non-refundable.
No-show/Missed Appointment: Deposit or prepayment is forfeited and non-refundable with or without special orders.
Deposits can either be refunded to the patron via Zelle or applied to the total amount due after services are rendered. Prepayments shall be applied to the total amount due after services are rendered.

We have elected to implement this policy due to an unfortunate litany of cancellations and no-shows causing us to miss opportunities to serve other patrons or take heavy monetary losses to the special orders. Certain services can range from 2 to 4 hours of constant labour for a single patron. Such a hefty timeblock means we did not schedule other patrons during that 2-4 hour treatment. We want to give all of our patrons a fair opportunity to have their services or treatments conducted.

Tina’s Spa Salon reserves the right to augment, add, or subtract any and all policies at any time with or without notice.
